Northern Ireland has a relatively small number of BGS members compared to the other devolved branches of the Society. The region holds regular local educational meetings and enjoys close collaboration with our Irish colleagues south of the border. On occasion it holds joint meetings with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and BGS Scotland.

Like the other devolved nations, Northern Ireland has representation on the BGS Board of Trustees and co-operate in workforce surveys.
