Undergraduate Medical, Nurse and AHP student volunteers invited to attend BGS Autumn Meeting

We are holding our Autumn Meeting 2024 at the ExCel, London 20 - 22 November. There is a fantastic opportunity for a select number of undergraduate medical, nurse or AHP students to attend our conference covering the latest scientific research and to network with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals delivering the best clinical practice in the care of older people around the country.

We are looking for up to 10 medical, nurse and AHP students to assist in the daily running of the event on a voluntary basis for each day of the three-day meeting. These roles will be of special interest to medical students who are considering or currently pursuing a career in Geriatric Medicine.

You must be UK based, on an undergraduate course on a medical, nursing or AHP course. Post -graduate students (i.e. Masters, Doctoral, or ACP courses) are not eligible.

Responsibilities

The sessions run from Wednesday at 9am until Friday 4.30pm. Responsibilities will include assisting with registration, greeting and directing attendees to key points and providing microphone support during Q&A sessions in presentations. Other duties may be expected in addition to these key activities.
