Dr Panayiotis Laouris

My name is Panayiotis, I am an academic foundation doctor in the East of England. I particularly enjoy providing multidimensional and holistic patient care to my patients, by performing an integrated assessment of their medical, physical, functional, mental and social needs, and thus tailoring treatment to their individual needs. I have found this can have a significant impact on both the patient’s and their loved ones’ care and experience. I have joined the British Geriatrics Society committee as a trainee rep because, as a junior doctor, I see great potential in improving the care we provide to our older adult population, particularly through educating our colleagues and improving access to healthcare services.
