BGS President Elect Elections 2024: Candidate profiles

We are delighted to announce the three candidates standing for election as the next BGS President Elect. You can find out more information about the candidates and their pledges on this page by clicking on the candidates' names below.

The new President Elect will take office in November 2024 for a two-year term, supporting Professor Jugdeep Dhesi as President. After this, they will serve a further two-year term from November 2026 to 2028 as BGS President, succeeding Professor Dhesi in the role.

How to vote

Voting is open to eligible BGS members from 28 June 2024 at 9am until 22 July 2024 at 9 am. 

All current BGS members eligible to vote will receive a link via email and will need to click on the button in this email to vote. For more information about the election and an explanation of the single transferable vote system, please see the FAQs on this page.
