Role on the Council

To design and deliver educational opportunities for BGS Trainees, working with the team to ensure conferences are trainee-focused and delivering education relevant to trainees.

Reason for joining the BGS Trainees' Council

Throughout my career, I've become more and more interested in medical education and geriatrics, so the Events and Education representative post seemed a great fit! The Events & Education team are working to design and deliver relevant trainee educational events, ensuring all aspects of the Geriatrics curriculum are covered. Listening to trainees needs is a big part of our role, and we are always keen to hear from trainees with any requests or ideas for new teaching & educational concepts.

Why trainees should get involved with the committee

The trainees council offers so many opportunities to shape the future of Geriatrics training and also the future of Geriatrics as a specialty. It's also a great way to meet like-minded people, and to inspire the next generation of Geriatricians!
