National Clinical Impact Awards 2022
The next round of clinical excellence awards, now renamed the National Clinical Impact Awards, will open on 27 April 2022.
All candidates seeking the support of the BGS are asked to complete the appropriate form(s) and submit these to the Society by 5pm on 13 May 2022. This is a finite deadline and we will be unable to accept forms after this date (this is to allow our review panel time in which to assess submitted applications).

Candidates will also need to submit an application via the National Clinical Impact Awards website, as in previous years.
The closing date for submitting forms to the NCIA is 22 June 2022 (5pm).
There are three categories of nomination:
- National 1 (lowest)
- National 2
- and National 3 (highest)

The NCIA considers applications for CEAs from consultants employed in NHS organisations in England and Wales only. Scotland and Northern Ireland run schemes unconnected, but along similar lines, to the National Clinical Impact Awards.
Candidates are strongly advised to register for the awards as early as possible, and to seek the support of the RCP in addition to the BGS.
