Workforce Committee Representative

I am currently an St7 trainee in the East Midlands. I have a strong interest in Community and Interface Geriatrics alongside Leadership and Management.

Reason for joining the BGS Trainee’s Council: I joined the BGS trainee’s council alongside the Workforce Committee to help represent trainee views when it comes to workforce issues. I also wanted to gain more experience of policy work within the BGS.

Why trainees should get involved with the committee: I’d highly recommend getting involved with the BGS as a means of supporting important work, being part of a network of passionate clinicians and understanding the role the BGS has within the wider healthcare sector.
