BGS Woodhouse Prize in Geriatric Medicine 2023
The BGS Woodhouse prize is an annual prize for the best essay on the theme of geriatric medicine submitted by a medical student in Wales. The prize consists of a free registration to attend/particate in a BGS national meeting (worth £180), and publication and promotion of the winning essay on our website.
Winner 2023: Devon Ward
Devon is a final-year medical student at Cardiff University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. They are starting their role as a specialised foundation doctor in the Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust in August 2024. They are passionate about medical education and patient education with an interest in creating mixed-media and asynchronous learning resources.
