Dr Suprateeka Talukder

My name is Suprateeka Talukder and I am an academic foundation doctor in Norfolk. I currently work in an area of England that has a high number of elderly patients. During my day to day job I enjoy helping manage the holistic care of these patients and observing how an integrated team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists etc can make a difference to the care pathway of a patient. Geriatric medicine is patient-centred and aims to optimise function and well-being of an elderly patient, which I find rewarding to observe. I joined the BGS as a trainee representative in the hope to join other like-minded colleagues and unite trainees in promoting the health and management of complex medical, social, cognitive and psychological needs faced by our elderly patients.
