Dr Maggie Keeble
For twenty years Maggie worked as a full time GP in Worcester. She stepped down from partnership in 2014 and now has two jobs. As a Care Home GP she provides general medical services for a local practice to five care homes with a total population of over 160. She also has a leadership role with the Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) programme in Worcestershire bringing local health, social care and public health organisations, the voluntary sector and older people together to work collaborative to make Worcestershire a great place to live in later life.
She has an interest in Older People living with frailty and in particular end of life and palliative care for this cohort of patients. In 2017 she and Eva Kalmus met at a BGS conference and decided to create an environment within the BGS for GPs with an interest in Older Peoples medicine to connect, share good practice and support the development of such role for GPs.
