Dr Anna Barnes

I’m an IMT 1 based in Nottingham and Derby for these three years of training. I have been training and working in the East Midlands for over 8 years having studied at the University of Nottingham Medical School. I’m passionate about the care of elderly people no matter which specialty is caring for them and so I naturally lean towards interest in Surgical Liaison Geriatrics.

Reason for joining the Trent Region Committee

I hope to continue my training post-IMT into higher speciality training in Geriatrics and so getting involved in the BGS committee structure felt like the next natural step to learn more about the specialty and feed this interest whilst I rotate through other specialties.
